Deet based insect repellents, are ideal for high risk area,s where malaria is a big problem. But we must take care when using deet, due to the fact that it is a chemical, and therefore we should be aware of the properties.
1.Deet can damage plastic, so be carefull when spraying near wathches, camera,s, sunglasses nylon and rayon clothing.
2. When applying the insect repellent to the face, it is better to apply liquid onto the hands, and gently massage onto face and neck.
3.Only a formulation of 20 percent deet or below should be used on children
