The PacSafe BuckleSafe 100 is a unique backpack lock that provides additional security to vulnerable side release buckles that are found on many top-loading backpacks and other bags.
The BuckleSafe 100 buckle locks clip into a backpack's existing side squeeze buckle. This feature effectively prevents the existing buckle from being opened and stops the webbing strap from being released. Once the BuckleSafe backpack buckle lock is in position, it can remain on the backpack / rucksack / or other bag.
The Buckle Safe can be used to lock a bag that otherwise could not be secured. Virtually, any type of bag that used a standard 25 mm side squeeze buckle, i.e., backpacks, rucksacks, camera bags, cycle bags, or suitcases can now be locked.
The included tamperproof TSA-accepted padlocks mean even checked luggage can be locked, as security agents in airports can open and re-lock the BuckleSafe during inspection using secured tools.
